Foreign is a Brooklyn based design studio focussing on brand development, event and activation design, visual creations, and digital experiences.

We’re a small company with a large network of talent and vendors which we tap into for all our projects. We have developed our disciplines across numerous sectors giving us the ability to adapt and scale to any project. Our focus is creating design informed content, with an emphasis on uniqueness, that in turn generates engaging projects. We work closely with our clients to understand their culture, objectives, and journeys, leading to a deeper understanding of their projects—creating impactful results and stronger lasting ties.

Creative Director

As a Creative Director with an editorial approach, Spencer has developed his skill sets across editorial design, events and activations, video and photo direction, print, digital, and marketing. He is adapt at creating an engaging visual narrative across multiple sectors.

Spencer has worked as a Creative Director at some of the largest publishing houses both in New York and London, including Conde Nast, Hearst Corp., Time Inc., and Fairchild Fashion Media.

Having studied Fashion Design, Photography, and Graphic Design, he graduated from Ravensbourne University in London with a degree in Visual Communications.

Spencer has received numerous awards and accolades on both sides of the Atlantic, and has worked as a fashion photographer both on campaigns and runways.
